
ActiveDocs Opus Template Management |
ActiveDocs Opus Designer is the comprehensive integrated design and management environment for ActiveDocs Opus Templates, created with Business Users in mind to minimize reliance on IT resources for Template Design and Management.
Designer enables a building-block approach using Templates, Snippets (common content), Data Views (for data source integration), and Design Item Sets (sets of Active Fields and Rules) - all reusable, and collectively known as Design Components. The building-block approach allows you to build: Template Sets combining multiple Templates; Templates which use Snippets and Data Views; and Snippets which use Data Views.
Complementing the power of the building-block approach is the control afforded by the management capabilities built into Designer's Content Manager.
Content Manager handles security and access to all Design Components. It permits a range of rights-based actions on Design Components including create, edit, run, check-out, check-in, delete, export, import, and relationship reporting. Relationships between Design Components are enforced & protected for actions like Run, Delete, Export, and Import.
With the addition of the optional Version Control module, Check-Out and Check-In are extended with Discard Check-Out, Check-In as Draft, Check-In and Publish, and Check-In with Deferred Publishing. Previous versions can be promoted and copied out.
